Community invited to help make a difference this holiday season with The Suda Institute
The Suda Institute, a nonprofit organization serving families across Cabarrus, Rowan and Stanly counties, calls on local residents and businesses to make a meaningful difference this holiday season.
The Institute's 2026 SUN Project Annual Toy Drive is underway, and community help is needed.
Through the SUN Project, the Institute supports pregnant and parenting women impacted by substance use disorders, helping families access coordinated care, recovery resources, and community support.
Each December, the Suda Institute hosts its Annual Toy Market, where participating mothers have an opportunity to select holiday gifts for their children at no cost.
Last year, the Toy Market provided gifts to more than 100 children. This year, the goal is to serve at least that many children, but the Institute would love to serve more, providing a minimum of three age-appropriate gifts per child.
Individuals, businesses, churches and community organizations are invited to help spread holiday joy by donating new toys or sponsoring a child through the Institute's Annual Toy Market. A contribution of approximately $150 helps provide at least three age-appropriate gifts for one child, creating meaningful holiday memories for the families the Institute serves.
Our Toy Drive will conclude Nov. 20 in preparation for the Annual Toy Market on Dec. 1–2 at Cabarrus Health Alliance in Kannapolis.
