Dancing for the Arts returns
'Stars' raise money to support arts council
The Cabarrus Arts Council will bring the community together for an evening of dancing, competition and support for the arts when Dancing for the Arts returns to the Davis Theatre on Saturday, Nov. 7.
Dancing for the Arts pairs local community leaders and personalities with professional dancers for a one-night dance competition inspired by "Dancing with the Stars." Over the course of weeks of rehearsals, each Star and their professional partner learns and perfects a routine before taking to the Davis Theatre stage in front of a live audience.
But the competition extends beyond the dance floor. Each Star is raising money in support of the Cabarrus Arts Council, with the Grand Prize awarded to the Star who raises the most money.Community members can support their favorite dancer with a donation, with every contribution helping the Cabarrus Arts Council bring more arts experiences and opportunities to people throughout Cabarrus County.
