Are we satisfied with the path that we are on?
We are all mortal and know, without a doubt, that these bodies that may be strong and powerful today will stop working one day. So, the question is, do we have a good feeling of where we will find ourselves when death comes and what are we going to do about it? Is there anything more important?
Are we saved, unsure or not saved?
Questions were answered by others.
These were the answers given to this writer when I asked some people this question.
Do you have a good feeling and assurance of where you will go when you die?
He said, I am about 90% sure.
These were the words from a friend several years ago. He is younger than me and has been involved in his church all his life. He was one of the persons in his church that was always there whenever a need came about. And when I asked if he had a good feeling about where he would go when he dies, he looked up and thoughtfully said, "I am about 90% sure."
He said, I hope I will go to Heaven, but I won’t know until that time.
A dear friend who was a little older than me, and was close like a brother, gave me these words several years ago before he died. He was a deacon in his church and had served on many committees in the church and had taught Sunday School. And he looked up, thoughtfully and answered, "I hope I will go to heaven, but I will not know until that time."
He said, I guess I will float up like everybody else.
A manager in a local restaurant answered it this way. He looked up and raised both hands high in the air and very thoughtfully said, "I am Buddhist and I guess that I will float up in the air like everybody else."
So, where do we stand?
There probably may be a lot of people that would give a similar answer when faced with that question today. People may have served in their churches all their life and may have taken their salvation for granted. And now, when they are older and faced with that question, they may have to realize that they may be unsure.
I don’t think almost or unsure is enough
A person may be happy and enjoying their lifestyles. But this writer does not believe that almost or unsure will be enough to get into heaven.
Jesus is coming in the air
If we continue like we are going and Jesus comes in the air and takes all born-again believers with Him in the air to be with Him forever, will He take us?
If unsure, pour your heart out to God
Now, while a person can, just get to your private spot, drop down on your knees and pour out your heart to God in the name of Jesus. Admit and name your sins, tell Him you are sorry for your sins and beg Him to forgive you.
Don’t wait, pray this prayer right now
Dear Lord, God, I come unto You, in the name of Jesus Christ. I come unto You, just as I am. I am a sinner, Lord. I have sinned against You and against heaven.
I ask You, Lord Jesus.
Forgive me and come into my heart and save my soul. Let me be born again by the Spirit of the Living God, born-again.
I give my life to you.
Lord Jesus, I do believe that You are the Son of God, and I give my life to you. I do believe that You are Jesus Christ who was sent to save my soul from hell.
Thank You, Lord.
Thank You for redeeming me by Your precious blood.
God promises Salvation
If you have prayed this prayer and really believed what you prayed, God will know if your heart is right. I believe you are now saved.
You have asked Jesus Christ into your heart
So now you have been saved, don’t be ashamed to confess Him with your lips and praise Him. And enjoy a wonderful life of Bible study, prayer and fellowship with other believers.
