Register for Summer Enrichment Camps
SALISBURY — Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is once again offering Summer Enrichment Camps for students ages 12-18, providing hands-on opportunities to explore interests and begin building skills for future academic and career pathways. Each camp lasts one week and includes half-day sessions held in the mornings or afternoons, with multiple sessions offered throughout the summer from June 15 through Aug. 7.
All camps are led by experienced instructors and are designed to provide a safe, structured environment for students to learn, explore and grow. These engaging, real-world learning opportunities help students build confidence and explore their interests. Programs will be held at South Campus in Concord and the Cabarrus Business and Technology Center.
Camp costs are designed to be accessible for families, with most camps priced between $100 and $180. A 5% sibling discount is available for families enrolling more than one camper, and a 5% multicamp discount is offered for students participating in two or more camps.
The camps
The full camp schedule includes:
■ Welding Warriors will be held from 8 a.m. to noon on Monday, June 15, through Friday, June 19, and from 8 a.m. to noon on Monday, July 6, through Friday, July 10, at South Campus, 1531 Trinity Church Road in Concord. Designed for students in grades 9 to 12, this hands-on camp introduces foundational welding techniques using industry equipment in a lab setting. Students will gain practical experience and a better understanding of career opportunities in welding and advanced manufacturing. The cost is $180.
■ Fashion Design and Sewing will run from Monday, July 6, through Friday, July 10, at the Cabarrus Business & Technology Center, with both a morning session from 9 a.m. to noon and an afternoon session from 1 to 4 p.m. available. Designed for students ages 12 to 18, this camp will explore garment design, sewing and creative expression. Students will complete their own garment pieces while building foundational design and construction skills. The cost is $125.
■ The Art of Effective Speaking will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Monday, July 13, through Friday, July 17, at South Campus, 1531 Trinity Church Road in Concord. Designed for students ages 12 to 18, this camp will build confidence in public speaking, presentations and real-world communication scenarios. Students will develop skills that support success in academic settings, future careers and everyday communication. The cost is $100.
■ Cybersecurity will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Monday, July 20, through Friday, July 24, at the Dr. Carol Spalding Advanced Technology Center, 525 John Snow Road in Kannapolis. Designed for students ages 12 to 18, this camp will focus on foundational cybersecurity concepts through interactive labs and activities focused on online safety, digital citizenship and network defense. Students will gain exposure to an in-demand field and learn how digital systems are protected in real-world environments. This camp is free through grant funding.

Space is limited
Register today to secure a spot, as space is limited and camps are expected to fill quickly. Registration will remain open throughout the summer, as space allows, with most registrations closing approximately one week prior to their start date.
