It begins with the original 1951 Angels in the Outfield (pictured), the charming fantasy about a struggling team that starts winning after heavenly help arrives. The schedule continues with The Kid From Left Field (1953), a comedy starring Dan Dailey as a former ballplayer whose young son unexpectedly becomes a baseball sensation. Next is It Happens Every Spring (1949), the lighthearted story of a chemistry professor who accidentally invents a formula that makes baseballs impossible to hit. The lineup closes with It Happened in Flatbush (1942), a drama starring Lloyd Nolan as a veteran shortstop trying to revive both his career and his team.
