Chris Tucker played in the PGA Championship and won on the Champions Tour, where he played for many years. The Central Cabarrus graduate still holds the course record at Cabarrus Country Club with a 62.
Concord graduate Frankie Williams began boxing at the Cabarrus Boys Club in 1948 and went on to win the Novice Bantamweight Championship in Durham and the Carolinas Gold Gloves Championship in Charlotte.

Howard Hall
Howard Hall, a 1954 graduate of A.L.Brown High, was a "split T" quarterback and led the Wonders to 19 wins in 20 games.
