The Kannapolis Police Department is collecting school supplies for local students in grades kindergarten through 12th grade. Officers are holding up a couple of items that have already been donated. School supply items that are needed include new and unused bookbags, notebook paper, binders, pens/pencils, pencil sharpeners, erasers, scissors, glue, pencil boxes, folders and colored pencils/crayons. All donations will benefit students in the Kannapolis City School system. Bring your donations and drop them off in the lobby of the Kannapolis City Hall & Police Department at 401 Laureate Way. Donations will be accepted until July 31.
