UPDATE Thursday, Dec. 11 - The 15-year-old suspect was released earlier today from the hospital. The Concord Police Department filed petitions through the North Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury (N.C.G.S. 14-32(a)), two counts of discharging a weapon into an occupied property in operation inflicting serious bodily injury (N.C.G.S. 14-34.1(c)), and inciting a riot (N.C.G.S. 14-288.2(e)).
