Four astronauts took off on a flight around the moon in what is humanity’s first lunar voyage in more than half a century.

The Artemis II astronauts have captured Earth's brilliant blue beauty as they zoom ever closer to the moon.
The request ultimately requires approval by Congress, where disagreement over Trump's spending decisions recently led to the longest government shutdown in U.S. history.
