Eunice "Polly" David Beck LAVONIA, Ga. Mrs. Eunice "Polly" David Beck, 95, of Lavonia, Ga., formerly of Kannapolis, passed away Friday, March 30, 2018. Mrs. Beck was born in Royston, Ga., May 26, 1922, daughter of the late Samuel David and the late Mattie Ruth Daniel David. She was a secretary having worked for Cannon Mills in Kannapolis, and was a past member of the Lane Street Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and member of the choir. She rejoined Redwine United Methodist Church in 2016 when she moved back to Georgia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Melvin Beck; and brothers, Clifford David and Allen David. Survivors include her brother, Bobby David of Winston, Ga.; sisters, Dorothy Dawkins of Lavonia, Ga., Mary Scott of Royston, Ga., and Reba Rousey of Royston, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Beck will be held in the Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 3, with the Rev. Billy Pittman officiating. Interment will follow after a graveside service at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 4, in the Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. The family will receive friends at Pruitt Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until funeral hour, Tuesday morning, April 3. The family is at their respective homes.
