Vonda Simpson KANNAPOLIS Mrs. Vonda Eudy Simpson, 74, passed away unexpectedly at her residence Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at Wilkinson Funeral Home, with a memorial service to follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Ron Cooper officiating. Vonda was born April 6, 1939, in Cabarrus County, daughter of the late Ray Von Eudy and Myrtle Tucker Eudy. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Helen Rhodes; and brother, Curt Eudy Sr. Vonda retired from the Cabarrus County School System. She enjoyed gardening, music, dancing and her favorite, shopping. She will be missed by her family and friends. Survivors include her daughters, Debra Roth, of Concord and Karen Wallace; son, Steve Sellers and wife, Jiri, of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Tanner Roth, Justin and Jonathan Wallace and Clay Sellers; great-grandson, Lawson Sellers; her longtime companion, Jim Ellison; brothers, Don Eudy and wife, Virginia, Ken Eudy and wife, Julia and Terry Eudy and wife, Julie; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Cabarrus County Humane Society, 2010 Wilshire Court SW, Concord, NC 28025. Condolences may be left at www.wilkinson funeralhome.com.
