McClure, Bobby Lynn

CONCORD Bobby Lynn McClure, 61, of Concord, passed away peacefully at Tucker Hospice House, Tuesday, July 23, 2019. He was born Feb. 19, 1958, to the late Swann McClure and his surviving mother, Ruby Morgan McClure. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gaither and Omie McClure, as well as Kizer and Elviney Morgan. He is survived by his daughter, Hilarie McClure Barnhardt; son, Zackarie McClure; grandson, Levi Kizer McClure; sisters, Kathy Howell, Ruth Burleson, and Hazel Robinson; brothers, Swann Lee McClure, Dennis McClure, Brandon "B.J" McClure; as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends, which he loved very much. He was a loving son, father, "Papaw", and friend to many. His sister, Kathy, was his primary care giver for the past year, and her help was appreciated by all. Bobby was a U.S Navy veteran. He was stationed in Jacksonville, Fla., and was assigned to the U.S.S. Nimitz where he was an Airman. He traveled to Paris and Japan while being enlisted. Bobby was also a former truck driver for West Brothers Transportation. He was a vivid NASCAR fan. He loved to travel, work on anything with a motor, fishing, and his old Ford truck. He always had many great stories to tell. Bobby will always be loved and greatly missed. The family will receive friends today (Sunday, July 28), from 6 to 8 p.m., at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral ceremony will be held Monday, July 29, at 12 p.m., at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord, followed by a military burial at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. The Rev.
