Jenkins, Linda Darnell Lowder

KANNAPOLIS Linda Darnell Lowder Jenkins, 59, of Kannapolis, N.C., passed away after a long battle with cancer Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. Darnell was born Sept. 6, 1955 in Iredell County, N.C., the daughter of Milas Junior Lowder and the late Doris Ruth Morgan Harris and her stepfather, David Caldwell Harris. Darnell was a member of Blackwelder Park Baptist Church and had worked in the Healthcare field. She was a loving wife and mother. Her funeral took place at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, at Blackwelder Park Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Phil Goble Jr. and the Rev. Bill Saylor. Burial took place at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove, N.C. The family received friends at the Church from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. before the service. Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Roger Jenkins of the home; daughters, Christi Jenkins Peugh (Randall) of Salisbury and Amanda Duffell of Kannapolis; father, Milas Junior Lowder of Mooresville; and two sisters, Debra Lowder and Tammie Lowder both of Landis, N,C.
