Pauline R. Stanford KANNAPOLIS Pauline Rogers Stanford, 90, of Kannapolis, passed away Monday, Nov. 10, 2014 at her home. She was born Aug. 28, 1924 in Rowan County, the daughter of the late Homer Banks Rogers and Mary Elizabeth Scercy Rogers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil N. Stanford; children, Ronald Stanford, Delma Stanford, Sherry Ann Stanford, and Baby boy Stanford; a deceased grandchild; a deceased great-grandchild; and four brothers and four sisters. Pauline was retired after working at Burlington Mills and Cannon Mills for many years. She was a member of West A Tabernacle Church. She loved to plant flowers. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, at Whitley's Funeral Home with a service to follow at 5 p.m. in Whitley's Chapel, officiated by the Revs. Nicholas Jackson and Rodney Efird. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, at Unity Methodist Church cemetery. She is survived by three children, Dale M. Bostian (Mitchell), Linda G. Ervin and Bobby Stanford; sister-in-law, Pat Stanford; stepson, Gerald Stanford (Betty); stepdaughter, Loretta Brannon (Melvin); 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, five step grandchildren, three step great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Lou Linker (Bill); and three brothers, Carl Rogers (Corinne), Ken Rogers (Betty) and Raymond Rogers.
