KANNAPOLIS Georgann Suggs Kerley, 58, of Kannapolis went to be with her Lord and Savior from CMC-NE after a period of declining health. Her funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24, in the Whitley's Funeral Home Annex Chapel with the Rev. Ellen Campbell Gardner officiating, burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in the Annex Chapel prior to the funeral from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Monday; at other times they will be at 107 Evandale Rd. Kannapolis at the home of her parents. Georgann was born July 13, 1957 in Cabarrus Co., the daughter of George and Barbara Little Suggs of Kannapolis. She was a life-long area resident and member of Bethpage Presbyterian Church. In earlier years, Georgann worked at Lee's Sandwich Shop with her parents. Then in 1994, she went to work for the Philip Morris Plant as a machine operator for 15 years. She also worked at Double Diamond Sports with her father and her son. Georgann recently retired on disability due to poor health. She loved her family, all animals and her trips to the mountains. She will be dearly missed. Those left to cherish her memories include her husband of 30 years, Danny L. Kerley of the home; her son, Jacob Sherrill and wife Okeya; her parents, George and Barbara Suggs; her brother, Chic Suggs and wife Robin, all of Kannapolis; and her brother, Doug Suggs of Ft. Worth, Texas. She is also survived by 2 nieces and 2 nephews and many loving relatives.
