MIDLAND Brice Garmon Page, 91, of Midland, passed away Monday, Feb. 29, 2016, at Clear Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Mint Hill. Brice was born Feb. 4, 1925, in Cabarrus County to the late Daniel Webster Page Sr. and the late Grace Garmon Page. He was also preceded in death by his brother, D.W. "Dub" Page Jr. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, March 2, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service, officiated by the Rev. Mark Clontz, will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, March 3, at Bethel United Methodist Church. He will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the service. The burial will follow at the church cemetery. At other times, the family will be gathering at the home. He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Mildred Lee Morrison Page of the home; son, Brice Darrell Page and wife, Judy Joyner Page of Midland; grandsons, Andy Page of Charlotte, Kyle Page of Wilmington; brothers, Hubert Page and wife, Mary of Midland, Terry Page and wife, Elaine of Locust; sister, Nancy Rock and husband, Jack of Charlotte; and sister-in-law, Betty Page of Midland. Brice honorably served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He retired from NCDOT after 35 years of service as a bridge and highway inspector. Brice enjoyed bird watching and visits to the mountains. He loved taking his grandchildren to their vacation home in Blowing Rock.
