About Habitat Cabarrus ReStore

Our Restore is a non-profit home improvement store and donation center.  We sell any new or gently used furniture, appliances, home accessories, building materials at a fraction of the retail prices.  Our proceeds benefit Habitat for Humanity.

The money that we raise from the sale of these products goes to help families build a decent and afforable place to call home.  The sale of these donations helps families achieve the strength, stability and independences needed to build a better future.

Our Mission

About Our ReStore

About Our ReStore

  • Updated Jul 27, 2017

What is our Mission?

Through the selling of donated building materials and household items:

  • Increase the number of homes Habitat for Humanity of Cabarrus County builds in efforts to eliminate substandard housing in our community.
  • Reduce the amount of usable items that are deposited into landfills.
  • Provide quality building materials and household items to the general public at discounted prices.

Who benefits from the ReStore?

Customers - Save 50%-90% off retail prices on building materials, furniture, and appliances of all kinds.

Donors - By donating new or gently used building materials, furniture, and appliances, you can help improve our community while receiving a tax deduction.

Environment - Whether you buy or donate materials, you are reducing the amount of usable building materials being deposited into a landfill.

Community - The proceeds from the ReStore will help to build additional Habitat homes for families in Cabarrus County.

Helping Out

Why Volunteer at the ReStore?

Why Volunteer at the ReStore?

  • Updated Jul 27, 2017
  • 0

Four things happen when you volunteer at the Habitat ReStore:

  • You get to meet new people.
  • You help us keep items out of the overflowing landfills.
  • Regular volunteers receive a store discount.
  • By doing jobs that paid staff would normally do, you allow us to give even more money to Habitat to build affordable housing in Cabarrus County!

The fourth reason is why volunteers are a key to the success of the ReStore. Without you, we would not be the operation that we are today!

Thank you for considering volunteering at the Habitat ReStore!

ReStore Truck Loader

Ride along with Sanchez in the ReStore truck and help to load/unload donations and purchases! We need all the help we can get!

Donations Assistant

The donations assistant works in the receiving area accepting donations directly from drop-off donors. The merchandise is then cleaned and taken to the sales floor.

Mr./Ms. Fix-it (repair volunteers)

We're looking for someone to repair or touch up furniture and other items that are slightly damaged.

Customer Service Volunteers

Assist customers by helping them find items in the store, measure items if necessary, and carry items to their vehicles.

Merchandising Volunteer

Arrange merchandise displays in creative ways so that they are attractive to shoppers.
