Rams vs. Lions NFL Playoff odds, pick: Rams vs. Lions props, SGP and moreÂ
Jared Goff and Matthew Stafford — two quarterbacks traded for each other in 2021 — square off in the first round of the NFL playoffs.
Goff’s Lions are a 3-point favorite for Sunday’s game and have -166 odds to win outright. Stafford’s Rams have +140 odds to do the same. Oddsmakers give this contest a total of 51.5 points.
Detroit finished the regular season with a 12-5 record and boasts one of the league’s top offenses (27.1 points per game) thanks to quarterback Jared Goff and wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown.
Meanwhile, the Rams (10-7) head to the postseason as one of the league’s hottest teams. Things are clicking for Sean McVay’s squad following a 3-6 start. Los Angeles has won seven of its last eight games, including victories over Seattle, Cleveland, New Orleans and San Francisco.
The Rams are 10-6-1 against the spread this season, covering in their last four games. This Los Angeles squad is night and day compared to the team that started the season on a dud. We think this game will be close.
Rams vs. Lions pick:Â Los Angeles +3 (-104 or better)
Rams vs. Lions player props: Best NFL player props for Sunday night
A number of star players take the field Sunday. Here are a few prop bets to keep an eye on during the action.
NFL Playoff player props: Amon-Ra St. Brown Anytime TD scorer (+100 or better)
St. Brown is Goff’s favorite target in this high-powered offense. He’s caught a touchdown in four straight games and seven of the last nine. He’s caught a third of Goff’s scoring passes this season and it makes sense that he will see tons of targets in this game.Â
Rams vs. Lions props: Puka Nacua 70+ receiving yards (-152 or better)
Wide receiver Puka Nacua has been one of the NFL’s top rookies this season, catching 105 passes for 1,486 yards and six touchdowns. Nacua hit the 70-yard mark on 11 occasions this season, including four of his last six. He faces a Detroit defense that ranks 27th in terms of passing yards allowed per game (247.4).
Rams vs. Lions same-game parlay: Combine Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp, David Montgomery props (+287 or better)
- Matthew Stafford O1.5 TD passes
- Cooper Kupp 5+ receptions
- David Montgomery 50+ rushing yards
For the first leg of this parlay to hit, Stafford must throw for at least two touchdown passes. He’s done this in five of his last six games. The Lions have allowed the sixth-most passing touchdowns this season.
One of Stafford’s top targets, wideout Cooper Kupp, needs to catch at least five passes in this bet as well. Kupp, who missed time earlier this year with injury, is right back in the mix. He surpassed the five-reception mark in four of his last five games.
Finally, Detroit running back David Montgomery must run for at least 50 yards for this parlay to cash. Montgomery (72.5 yards per game) is the team’s leading rusher. He ran for more than 50 yards in eight of Detroit’s last nine games.
