Six Cabarrus County detention officers are taking the next step in their law enforcement careers as they prepare to transition into deputy roles this summer, according to the Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office.
In a recent announcement, the sheriff’s office recognized the six officers, who have been selected to enter the next Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) class in July 2026. Completion of BLET is required to become a sworn deputy in North Carolina.
