HARRISONBURG, Va. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) volleyball team dropped a 3-1 contest against James Madison (25-22, 21-25, 8-25, 18-25) on Friday night as part of the LD&B Insurance Invitational, hosted by the Dukes in the Convocation Center.

Set 1
UNCG used a 5-0 run to turn a 14-16 deficit into a 19-16 lead. The Spartans later extended their advantage to 24-20 before closing the set, 25-22, on a James Madison service error.

James Madison built a 14-9 lead before UNCG rallied to even the score at 17-17. The teams were tied again at 20, but the Dukes scored five of the final six points to take the frame, 25-21.

UNCG raced out to a 4-0 lead, highlighted by a pair of kills from Hailey Clifton and an ace by Kendall Lanclos. James Madison answered with a 10-3 stretch and eventually built a 17-9 advantage. The Spartans cut the deficit to four, 20-16, but the Dukes held on for the 25-18 win.

Allie Sweet recorded her 27th career double-double and fourth of the season after leading the Spartans with 15 kills and 11 digs, while adding four service aces.
Izora Gragg was the leading setter with 37 assists and added six digs.
Connore' Siler-Nixon totaled six kills, three blocks and six digs, tying her career high in digs.
