Hello, I am writing in response to every person running for office in North Carolina on Tuesday Nov. 6 who mentions our children's safety. Please consider protection from the inside out. Requirements for background updates of those already in our schools, administrators, office, athletics coaches, teachers and substitute and assistants, cafeteria workers and volunteers are needed. In short an employee of six to eight years should have an updated background check and to have more thorough requirements than a usual check and performed more than one time in a school employee career, and after temporary absence for any reason etc.
Updated background checks needed for school personnel
