The Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Enforcement and Education Unit hosted a multi-agency sobriety checking station on Friday, Dec. 20, in Mount Pleasant at East Franklin Street at Eastover Drive. The Concord Police Department, Kannapolis Police Department, and the North Carolina State Highway Patrol assisted Cabarrus County with this checking station. A total of 77 violations were issued and a warrant was served for an order for arrest for missing court. The sheriff’s office said traffic is always anticipated to be heavier during the holidays, so please remember to drive safely.
