The format
The 24-team field will play three rounds of stroke play. UNCG will be paired with Queens, Radford and USC Upstate in the opening round with the first foursome teeing off at 8:25 a.m.

Spartans last season
- UNCG finished top five in seven out of its 10 events played last season, while picking up the home tournament win at the UNCG Collegiate.
- The Spartans also finished as the runner-up in the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational and the Advance Golf Partners Collegiate.
- The Spartans' third-place finish at the 2026 Southern Conference (SoCon) Championships matched their best finish since the 2013 SoCon Championships.
- The result marked the sixth time that the Spartans rounded out the SoCon Championships in third place in program history.
- Sophomore Chanelle Mwangi was named to the All-Southern Conference (SoCon) Freshman Team as well as the All-Conference Team following the 2026 SoCon Championships.
- Mwangi finished fourth among the conference leaderboard with a 73.19 stroke average over 16 rounds of play last season.
- Seniors Kasey McIlvaine and Elle Burnette return for the Blue & Gold. Burnette averaged 75.48 strokes in 29 rounds, while McIlvaine averaged 76.75 strokes over 28 rounds last year.
Last time out
- The Spartans opened the season with a sixth-place finish at the Tiger Classic, hosted by Clemson, with a 17-over-par (593) performance.
- Burnette led the Spartans, tying for third place with a three-under-par (141) scorecard. Burnette was three-under-par (69) after a tournament-leading round one score, before her even-par (72) performance in round two.
- Burnette was named SoCon Golfer of the Week on Wednesday following her performance.
- McIlvaine tied for 12th out of 54 competitors. She carded a one-over-par (73) in the first round and then an even-par (72) second round for a total of 145.
- Freshmen Baker Hudson (T-38th), Eva Brown (T-41st) and Wilma Siwers (T-44th) all competed in their first collegiate tournaments.
