Aquatics hours change beginning August 3rd
As summer winds down, the Statesville Leisure Pool and Statesville Splash Pad will transition to reduced operating schedules.
Statesville Leisure Pool
- August 3–7: Late swim only from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m.
- August 8–September 6: Open on weekends only (Saturday = Early swim from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. and late swim from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. or Sunday = One session from 2 p.m. - 6 p.m.)
- Monday, September 7 (Labor Day): Early swim from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. and late swim from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m.
- Tuesday, September 8: Closed for the season.
Statesville Splash Pad
- Beginning Saturday, August 9 - September 7, 2026: Weekends only (Saturday = 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday = 1 p.m.-6 p.m.)
- Tuesday, September 8: Closed for the season.

Ready to get back on the field? Registration for the Fall Adult Softball Leagues with Statesville Recreation & Economic Vitality opens Wednesday, August 12, 2026. Co-Ed and men’s leagues are available for players of all skill levels.
Winter youth league registration
Get ready for winter sports. Registration for Youth Basketball and Youth Wrestling with Statesville Recreation & Economic Vitality opened Saturday, August 1, 2026.
Youth Basketball is available for students in kindergarten through sixth grade. The league helps young athletes develop basketball skills, build confidence, practice teamwork and enjoy friendly competition.
Youth Wrestling is open to children in pre-K through eighth grade. Participants learn the fundamentals of wrestling while developing fitness, discipline and resilience in a supportive environment.

City of Statesville lifts mandatory water restrictions as drought conditions improve
The City of Statesville has returned to Stage D1 Moderate Drought conditions following the latest update from the North Carolina Drought Management Advisory Council (NCDMAC). As a result, the mandatory water restrictions that were in place under Stage D2 Severe Drought have been lifted. Read more here.
