The Mac Tabby Cat Café is expanding to Concord and is expected to open on Market Street by January. The café has helped find over 412 cats new homes since its 2017 opening. Owner Lori Konawalik said downtown Concord has always felt like the right fit for the café's second location.

CONCORD – A new café is coming to Downtown Concord for any feline friends in the area. The Mac Tabby Cat Café is opening a second location on Market Street offering coffee and cat cuddles.
The cats stay in what is known as the cat lounge, a separate area from the café. Patrons can reserve a 30-minute or an hour-long timeslot to be in the cat lounge for a fee. All beverages can be brought into the lounge.
The Mac Taby Cat Café partners with Catering to Cats and Dogs to keep 12 cats at the café for adoption. While the goal is to adopt, people just visiting the cat lounge helps to socialize the felines.
