Lori Parker, of the Kannapolis Police Department, is retiring after nearly 20 years of dedicated service. With an associate’s degree in criminal justice, Parker began her career with the department in 2006 as a senior office assistant in the Criminal Investigations Division. In 2010, Lori was promoted to police accreditation manager/police planner, a role she has occupied since. Lori has been instrumental in maintaining the department’s high standards of excellence. Her contributions to the city have been recognized throughout her career. In 2008, she received the department’s prestigious Norma C. Howard Memorial Service Award, presented annually to a civilian employee who exemplifies personal honesty and integrity. Over the years, Parker has also received numerous letters of commendation from law enforcement partners and professional organizations for her assistance, professionalism and dedication.
