At Central Carolina Community Foundation, we are pleased to welcome Dr. John Dozier, Ron Harvey, Amanda Loveday, Kim Smith, Ray Tanner, and Stephanie Vokral to our Board of Trustees for Fiscal Year 2027. As respected leaders across business, education, healthcare, finance, and philanthropy, they bring valuable expertise and perspectives that will help guide the foundation’s strategic direction and deepen our impact throughout the Midlands.
Dr. John Dozier joined the board in April, and as president of Columbia College, he leads initiatives that strengthen education and community partnerships. He has served in leadership roles at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the University of South Carolina, and City Colleges of Chicago. His board service with organizations such as the Columbia Chamber of Commerce, the American Heart Association, and EdVenture reflects his longstanding commitment to aligning education with community impact, making him a strong advocate for initiatives that expand opportunity and strengthen the region.

Ron Harvey, co-founder and vice president of Global Core Strategies & Consulting, has spent more than three decades developing leaders and strengthening organizations across public, private, and nonprofit sectors. A retired U.S. Army veteran, he has held leadership positions with the Columbia Chamber Small Business Council, Midlands Communities in Schools, the Carolina Virginia Minority Supplier Development Council, the Columbia Chamber board, and the foundation’s African American Philanthropy Committee. His longstanding commitment to service reflects a deep dedication to building relationships and stronger communities.
Amanda Loveday, chief executive officer of NP Strategy, has built a career leading strategic communications and public engagement across South Carolina. Her leadership roles with the South Carolina Democratic Party, the Office of U.S. House Majority Whip James E. Clyburn, and the South Carolina State Election Commission reflect her commitment to civic leadership, public service, and strengthening communities through effective communication.
Kim Smith, founder and chief executive officer of Health Evolve Technologies, is a thought leader in advancing health equity, digital health innovation, and community well-being. She serves with the Midlands South Carolina chapter of the American Heart Association and contributes to statewide initiatives, including the Maternal Health Innovation Collaborative and the Rural Maternal Health Access Taskforce. Her work reflects a commitment to improving access to health care and outcomes for communities across South Carolina.
Ray Tanner serves as senior advisor to the president and athletics director emeritus at the University of South Carolina, following more than a decade as athletics director and 16 years as the Gamecocks’ nationally acclaimed head baseball coach. Throughout his career, he has championed student-athlete success on the field, in the classroom, and in the community, while leading major initiatives to strengthen athletic programs, expand educational opportunities, and enhance facilities. A respected leader in collegiate athletics, Tanner’s legacy includes multiple national championships, a longstanding commitment to student development, and dedicated service to South Carolina through the Ray Tanner Foundation and numerous leadership roles in college athletics.
Stephanie Vokral serves as lead private wealth advisor for InVestra’s Columbia office, where she brings more than 26 years of experience helping individuals and families navigate financial planning with confidence. She specializes in comprehensive wealth management, retirement and estate planning, fiduciary consulting, and guiding clients through major financial transitions. Beyond her professional work, Vokral serves on the advisory board of Hope Haven of South Carolina and has held leadership roles with organizations including the South Carolina Federation of Business & Professional Women’s Clubs, NAIFA-SC, and Women in Philanthropy of the Midlands United Way, reflecting her commitment to strengthening both families and communities.
Together, these leaders bring diverse experiences and a shared commitment to strengthening the Midlands through philanthropy. We are grateful for their willingness to serve and look forward to the leadership they will provide in the years ahead.
