Coach Lloyd "Dink" Jordan, right, The football field will be named "Dink Jordan Field." Mason was the first basketball coach at Central Cabarrus when it was formed in 1966. Drinnen played many roles from coaching track and football to teaching and administration. The field house was built with all private funds raised by Drinnen. Jordan was the founding football coach at Central Cabarrus.
CONCORD- Coach Lloyd “Dink” Jordan, Dr. Gary Drinnen and Coach Earl Mason still get together once a month to catch up on life. When they are in the same room together, they reminisce about the best plays, games and teams they coached at Central Cabarrus High School.
