This photo of Kimball Lutheran Church in Kannapolis was taken about 1963 or 1964. According to Norris Dearmon, this building was built in 1922 and faced Main Street. It remained there until 1963-1964, when the new building was placed on the same site but faced Vance Street instead of Main. Approximately 400 religious congregations exist in Cabarrus County! Some have many members. Others can fit into a living room. Some worship in English, others in Spanish, and some speak in biblical tongues. All of these places of worship involve our neighbors and friends.
